Ten
– A Hint of Spiritual Confidence
Ten
leads almost to thirteen.
By
now you realize I am not like any other man.
I
stretch my arms in praise in the songs to Him I rise.
I
got delivery, swagger, and skills.
Dropping
dimes like loose change,
I
stroll up into the red carpets like I always belonged
Stretching
my arms to show the size of these shotguns.
My
reputation comes up; please call me Captain Awesome.
I
stand out in silent confidence blessed in the Spirit.
I
spit game but quietly lead when the moment arrives.
Nothing
shy, nothing holding me back, I strive
Beyond
the luke warmness of a settled generation.
Climbing
mountains, sprinting the spread of deserts,
Swimming
oceans, and flying the skies,
I
travel life journeys excelling past the human norm
Refusing
to conform in the expectations of others.
I
surround myself in the midst of His teachings
With
guardian angels backed up in armies
Behind
my back in revealed eyes seeing
The
reality of this spiritual frontier to fight for eternity.
I
exist in the awesomeness of One who lives
In
the power of Christ whose name I call
Where
nothing conquers causing this man to fall.
Until
my shoulders collapse I swing to the sky
Where
no other can compare because of he
And
the power of Christ that lives within me.
The
Great Reward at the end of my race I will receive
In
no false pretenses in the lies of the enemy.
I
listen to the battle cry of dreams of my calling
And
stand before with my knights in shining armor.
No
fear shivers with adrenaline in my blood pumping
Because
I sprint toward the fight to triumph
With
victory inevitable in the strength I receive
In
a prayer of faith I speak and believe into existence.
The
power comes not because I doubt
But
rather because I know the promises of His Word
That
waits in patience at the finish line
Where
celebration for eternity expects my arrival.
